What small thing that happened today are you grateful for?
After a tough early morning start with two sick kids, my eldest made it all better by trying to make me laugh. My eldest son is only 3 on the 1st of May, but he is very switched on. He knew that mummy was tired and frustrated so he did his best to try to make me laugh. And it succeeded. Whatever challenges life throws at you can all be made better by a smile from your son. When I am having a hard day it is the little moments like that which I am most grateful for. They make everything else worthwhile and I do not take them for granted.
What friend/family member are you grateful for today?
I am a true believer in the old adage that friends are in your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime. Many friends have stayed for a season and a reason but very few for a lifetime. And I have never been one to hold onto friendships when they have passed their expiry date. I have always been a loner and will not keep people in my life unless they want to be there.
My friendships for a lifetime are few but I prefer it that way. Quality over quantity. But I feel the need to acknowledge a new lifetime friend.
We have only been friends for a couple of years but I truly count my friend Cassie among my lifetime friends. Since starting my blog she has been so supportive, always likes all my instagram posts, reads my blogs and shows genuine interest when I talk about it. In general she is one of the most genuine person I have had the pleasure to become friends with. She puts on no false airs and I feel I can truly be my true self around her and not be judged.
We should cherish our true friends because they are so very hard to come by.
