Gratitude Challenge – Days 15 & 16

What season are you grateful for?

It’s the first day of autumn here but living in Brisbane, Australia that won’t make much of a change to the weather.  Australia has 2 season;  Summer and a very short winter.  Here in Brisbane it is lucky to go under 5c/41f at night in winter.  But I will take that over our humid summers.

I love warm showers on cold winter mornings and snuggling under a doona at night.  Even in summer I find it hard to live without my doona.  I will crank the fan on high just so I can sleep under my doona.

Winter gives us enough of a reprieve from the heat for us to make it through another summer and I am grateful for it.

What about your body are you grateful for?

My hands.

Because of them I can….

Wave hello to a friend.

Cook dinner and bake muffins.

Hold up a good book.

Write my blog.

Drive me anywhere I want to go.

Give my kitty and puppy a good belly rub.

They have the ability to hold my loved ones close.

  1. I am always grateful for my family, but lately I have been grateful for the really nice, spring like weather we have been having – and it’s still winter 🙂

  2. This is a nice way to change your perspective, especially about hands! I can’t imagine losing either one of them, as they are so important to me as a writer!

  3. I love this. I think it is wonderful that you would think of your hands. I am grateful for my husband, who works so hard to allow me to be home with our kids for a while.

  4. I am grateful for my family. They may make life crazy, but they are my whole life.

I’m grateful for my health. I’m thankful that I am able to get up and run. Although I’m out of shape, I’m able to work on that.

  5. Lucky you for having a long summer! We have four seasons in Canada, winter being the longest.

  6. There are so many things to be grateful for today, I’m just thankful right now for my eyes because I can see how beautiful the sunrise is!

  7. I’m grateful for my health and my mobility – it may sound basic but I’ve been limited in the past and after a week filled with walking, hiking and climbing I’m very aware of how lucky I am

  8. There are many things to be grateful for. First on my list is love. I am so grateful for the love, without it we can’t simply enjoy the life we have.
