What abilities are you grateful for?
The ability and the privilege to look after my kids. Motherhood is really tough and there are some day when I wonder if I am going to make to the kids bed time without losing my mind. But I always make it through and I am proud to be a mother and am raising to wonderful little boys.
I feel ashamed that when I was younger I would shake my head at mothers who would be struggling to control their kids at the supermarket. Or glare at toddlers who are making so much noise at the next table over at a restaurant. Or offer up uneducated advice on how best to raise children before I even had any.
How little I knew back then. I had no idea that it would be the hardest job I would ever have to do. But also the best and most rewarding journey I would ever undertake. My children make me so happy that just thinking about them or looking at photos of them make me tear up. My heart is so full to bursting just because of these two little humans. I am so grateful to have them in my lives.
What sight are you grateful for today?
The beautiful blue sky. The trees swaying in the breeze. My kids faces. My husband as he walks in the door after work. My freshly painted home. My dog wagging her tail when we get home. My cat laying on our bed.
Basically I am just grateful to be able to see. I couldn’t imagine how hard it would be to go through life without being able to see. You would miss so many things.
People could explain how awe-inspiring the Grand Canyon is but until you see it with your own eyes you will never understand its immense beauty.
Vision is something we should never take for granted.
